Viewpoint and a la carte restaurant with a fireplace and unique exterior and interior, made of natural materials such as stone and wood. Stunning views of the Western and the High Tatras and the basin Liptovská kotlina with the glassy surface of the dam lake Liptovská Mara.

The previous lift boarding point was made into an authentic Von Roll restaurant. The original ski lift system was used as the basic architectonic element which now renovated tastefully complements the interior combined with wood. Thanks to this fact Von Roll Restaurant has beside its marvellous cuisine this unique mountain museum as well.

Von roll restaurant – the newcomer of the year among gourmet oscars

Only the best of the best met at Gurman Award 2015 and on presentation of golden forks for culinary art. Von Roll Restaurant, the highest located à la carte restaurant on Mt Chopok, was given the newcomer of the year award.  Lovers of quality food and experiential gastronomy on a plate, renowned experts and the best restaurants guide "Gourmet in Slovakia", appreciated the excellence of those for whom the culinary is a craft, specialization, lifestyle, as well as science.

„Von Roll Restaurant, as the newcomer of the year, was awarded The Best New Restaurant. Each year, new restaurants are included in the Gourmet in Slovakia, which have received at least four positive evaluations from our experts who go to restaurants incognito. They must have at least two ratings from evaluators from the region and two from another region. „7 restaurants were recommended to be included in the Gourmet in Slovakia this year. Von Roll Restaurant gained the most points and thus it was awarded the Best New Restaurant in the Gourmet“ explained Lucia Tomašovičová, Project Manager of Gourmet in Slovakia.

Gold For The Best Mountain Restaurant

Von Roll Restaurant Luková became the most popular mountain restaurant in an international rating system of evaluating mountain resorts – Internationaler skiareatest 2013/2014. The restaurant was given a golden medal and was awarded as the only mountain restaurant. The award is all more valuable because the restaurant competed with other restaurants of 35 famed alpine resorts. This was mainly due to its original interior and overall atmosphere but also because of high quality of meals, wines and friendly staff.

The restaurant with two Slovak records

During the 1st Anniversary of the Von Roll Culinary Week we witnessed following two new Slovak records: „Champagne sabrage with the largest volume of bottle – 9l“ and thanks to the location of the Restaurant Von Roll „Sabrage at the highest altitude of 1,670 m a.s.l.“. The sabrage was performed by Tomáš Vyšvader – a  winner of „Sommelier of the Year“, who managed to open a 9 litre bottle of Bollinger Champagne by a sabre.
