CHOPOK NORTH - HISTORY

Village Demänovska Valley was 1.8.1964, it was all of the objects of tourism created with the local community parts of the Tri studničky, Caves, Repiska, Lucky and Jasna.

Demänovská Valley (in particular the cave) was inhabited in prehistoric times (suggests a number of awards, for example, in a cave Okno). In some places was extracteed the iron ore mined here, in another place were shepherd houses and lumber jack houses. After the First World War to build the first weekend cottages.

The appearance and caves, the construction of asphalt roads and the development of tourism (especially skiing), the Demänovská Valley redraw the most popular Slovak sport - recreation centers. Trips are extremely rich. Passing through the valley and the surrounding ridges up a number of marked trails with walking trails, in addition, built in the valley of the operating network of trails.
