Do you feel like breathing fresh mountain air, enjoying beautiful views and taking an easy walk? The tarn of Vrbické Pleso tarn is the right thing for you! This beautiful location is only 5 minutes away from the parking at the Wellness Grand Hotel. The hiking trail around Vrbické Pleso is wide enough and suitable for young families with strollers.

This is an ideal place for families with children or seniors to take a walk. In the vicinity of Vrbické Pleso, you can find spacious benches made of solid wood, with an inscription „Demänovská Dolina“, where you can relax during the not demanding walk.

There live ducks on the bank of the tarn, which are its loyal residents and its inherent part. They are very peaceful, fearless and greet almost all visitors of the lake.

While walking around the Vrbické Pleso, you can hit on a unique bird shape climbing wooden unit. This huge bird landed to the arms of the beautiful Tatra´s countryside in 2015. It provides a lot of fun to small visitors to Demänovská Valley. The new climbing unit, which is close to the Vrbické Pleso, fits into the surroundings with its material and design. The climbing unit is made of quality agate wood, meets safety standards and is certified.

The creator of this eco-friendly, unique and safe climbing unit is an academic sculptor Jozef Kliský, who has been making wooden children's playgrounds since 1993. His playgrounds offer children space for playing, entertainment, exploring the unknown and adventures. Each of his playgrounds is specific and original. The goal is not only to offer children safe space for the game and the development of physical activities but also to stimulate the development of their aesthetic perception.

The “Bird” children´s playground is simply unique.
