Holidays for clients coming from abroad

Slovakia can be entered immediately after receiving the 1st vaccine

Currently valid rules regarding entering the Slovak Republic

From 9.7. to 9.8. 2021, travellers can avoid self-quarantine when entering the Slovak Republic not only if they have been fully vaccinated but now also if they decided to get a vaccine shortly before leaving for Slovakia. This means that you can travel immediately after receiving the first Covid-19 vaccine. When crossing the borders, you will only need to register for the E-HRANICA (e-border) system, which takes less than 5 minutes. And after that, you are free to enjoy the mountains and water parks as much as you want. Enjoy your time in Slovakia!

  1. E-HRANICA REGISTRATION: Every person who enters Slovakia on 9.7.2021 or later must register on korona.gov.sk/ehranica. This does not apply to children younger than 12 years and individuals transiting through Slovakia (for more details, please read Decree No. 226).
  2. QUARANTINE: All individuals who enter the Slovak Republic from 6:00am 9.7.2021 are obliged to self-quarantine. Their quarantine can end 14 days after the arrival if no Covid-19 symptoms have been noticed. The quarantine can end also with a negative RT-PCR test, however, no sooner than on the 5th day after the arrival. Children aged 0-12 years do not need to get tested and their quarantine ends when the quarantine of other members of their household does. Other members of their household who have not travelled have to quarantine as well and their quarantine ends when it does for other family members. The quarantine is not obligatory for fully vaccinated individuals (see item (3) below), children aged 12-18 years if nobody else of their household has to quarantine and temporarily (until 9.8.2021) also for individuals who cannot get vaccinated due to health reasons. These must present a certificate based on the template annexed to the Decree and a negative result of an RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before. More exceptions are specified in Decree No. 226/2021 of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic.
  3. DEFINITION OF VACINATED INDIVIDUALS: at least 14 days and not more than 12 months after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine, at least 21 days and not more than 12 months after receiving a single-dose vaccine, at least 14 days and not more than 12 months after receiving the first dose of a two-dose vaccine if the vaccine was received within 180 days after overcoming COVID-19.

TEMPORARILY UNTIL 9.8.2021: Individuals who have been vaccinated with one dose of a one-dose or a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine are considered vaccinated individuals (immediately after receiving the first dose). In addition to EU COVID-certificates and Slovak vaccination certificates, vaccination certificates from other countries are accepted as well, however, only if they are written in Slovak, Czech or English. FLYING TO THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC
  • The following applies if arriving at any airport in Slovakia:
  • Every person must fill in the form on the website: www.mindop.sk/covid/.
  • If arriving from a country which is not on the list, every person must present a negative RT-PCR test taken not more than 72 hours before (applies also to vaccinated individuals). This rule has been created because using a high-risk means of transport to travel from a country with a higher risk of epidemiologically dangerous SARS-CoV-2 variants may have serious consequences. By combining registration and testing, the risk of importation and uncontrolled spread of new more dangerous variants is much lower.
  • List of countries from which travellers can arrive without needing a negative COVID-19 test: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, China, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Georgia, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Ireland, Island, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Canada, South Korea, Kosovo, Cuba, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Macau, Hungary, Malta, Moldavia, Monaco, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Austria, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, USA, Mexico, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine.
