1. To increase safety on the slopes, selected sections of the busiest ski runs had to be widened and alternative exits from more challenging sections needed to be created. This means:
- New red piste no. 8 Von Roll – an alternative to piste no. 1 Petra Vlhová (new areas around the Von Roll restaurant and reclassification of the upper part of run no. 7).
- Piste no. 1b Vrcholová – Chopok Západ (West) expanded and made safer thanks to comprehensive barrier reconstruction, as an alternative to piste 1a Vrcholová.
- Widened, levelled and floodlit connection no. 13a Happy End, linking Otupné and Biela Púť areas comfortably and more safely, with snowmaking added.
- New blue piste no. 36a Hotelová, allowing a safe exit from the Srdiečko hotel towards Krupová, ideal for less experienced skiers and families with children.
- Revised signs on piste no. 11a FIS Konský grúň – Rovná hoľa. Due to its challenging nature, this piste has been reclassified from red to black, indicating a difficult slope. Skiers will be informed about the classification change before entering the piste. And also about the possibility to choose a safer option to get down, i.e. blue piste no 5b Turistická – Konský grúň – Luková.
2. Enhanced camera system
- Extended camera coverage in the busiest areas.
- 14 new cameras providing coverage in locations including Chopok, Konský grúň, Luková, Rovná hoľa, Priehyba, Predné Dereše, Kosodrevina and Krupová.
- The goal is to have an immediate overview of what is going on, allowing for real-time updates on changing conditions for all visitors to the ski resort.
- Visitors will receive push notifications via the Gopass app for this purpose.
- Resort radio informing in multiple languages.
- Ed-anect screens at cable car boarding stations.
